Growing Manufacturing company in Chicago has a need for a Procurement Manager.
- Develop and deliver a 3–5-year Global Category Strategy aligned to business and regional needs.
- Lead global sourcing initiatives including RFX processes, negotiations and contract management.
- Drive value through total cost of ownership, risk mitigation and supplier consolidation.
- Establish and lead effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) frameworks.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to inform sourcing and investment decisions.
- Partner with global and regional leaders across procurement, finance, supply chain and the business.
- Coach and support regional category managers to ensure consistent execution of global strategies.
- Define and track category KPIs covering savings, service, innovation and performance.
Qualifications:
- 4+ Years experience in global or regional category management, with a strong track record of developing and executing procurement strategies.
- Commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder, negotiation and leadership skills, and be comfortable operating in a global, matrix organization.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS) or postgraduate qualification (desirable).
- Deep experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract management.
- Strong analytical, influencing and communication skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insight into tangible business outcomes.
